I’ve always enjoyed street art and graffiti. But, I’ve also always been a bit of a geek. Here, I’ve taken my inspiration from guerilla stenciling techniques and mixed in a liberal amount of laser “pew-pew”. The result is a fun intersection of street art, geek culture, and technology.
What we have here is a rather unusual process where I have upcycled cardboard into art. Using the laser cutter, I have combined popular culture with technology and a bit of street art fun.
Each piece is unique as each piece of cardboard has it’s own grain and density. This affects the way the laser interacts with the material and creates patterns that are different with every piece. The cardboard is upcycled from shipping materials and free from any creases, food, grime, or stains.
Anyway, I’ve had a lot of fun with these and hope you do too 🙂
Until next time!
